Special Metadata Features

In addition to the DTA metadata guidelines, the metadata contains further manuscript-specific elements.

The element <bibl> of the source description receives the @type value "MAN" for manuscripts.

The manuscript description for manuscripts contains the <handDesc> element, which describes the hands of the manuscript in one <handNote> element each. The element <handNote> receives an @xml:id, in which the respective hand is clearly identified. This identifier can be referenced in the text using the @hand attribute.
