The Detailed Title Statement of the Source Description (//fileDesc/sourceDesc/biblFull/titleStmt)

The <title> element in the Title Statement of the Source Description contains the attributes @level and @type. Possible values of the @level attribute are:

  • a: analytic title (title of a dependent publication)

Possible values of the @type attribute within <title> are:

In the case of a volume specification, the <title> element also receives a @n attribute, which specifies the number of the volume:

The <author> element specifies the author of the work. A possible publisher of the underlying text source is reproduced in the <editor> element. If the text edition in question is a translation, reference is made to the translator by means of <editor role="translator"> element. For a deeper structuring of the <author> and <editor> element see chap. Substructuring of the Elements <author> and <editor>.
