Multi-Referenced Footnotes
If a footnote is placed several times in a text, the footnote text is placed at the point of the first footnote reference in the continuous text. The corresponding <note> element gets an @xml:id. Further references to this footnote are reproduced within own <note> elements, which remain empty, i. e. the footnote text is not repeated here. By means of an @sameAs attribute, the following <note> elements refer to the @xml:id of the <note> element, which contains the footnote text.
